The Pregnancy Announcement Came Before The Proposal
Alina and Khuram both downloaded Dil Mil looking for serious love. It took them both a month to really get an understanding of what they were looking for in a partner and familiarize themselves with the app. The both of them were individually looking for someone who was from the same community, and held the same ethics, values and zest for achieving greatness in their lives. Of course, it comes as no surprise that Dil Mil did it’s thing and they both matched!
At the time, Aline was in Houston, Texas, while Khuram was located in Memphis, Tennessee. Alina and Khuram connected over the app initially, and realised through their conversations that they indeed held very similar ground in life. Alina flew to Memphis from Houston for their first date. Even though they were both extremely nervous, Alina found that when she landed and met Khuram for the first time, she felt she had known him her whole life – talk about the best green flag.
Their first date included Khuram playing tour guide for Alina and showing her all around the small city. Her favourite part of the tour was Khuram going 30 minutes out of the way to take her to the best bakery in town for her craving of banana pudding dessert. In fact, Khuram actually called the bakery to let them know that he was on his way with his ‘pregnant wife’ for a banana pudding dessert, and to set aside the best one! Alina was dumbfounded as it was only their first date, but it definitely went down in history for the duo! So much so that in that moment, Alina knew she had found her true soulmate.
The biggest challenge in Alina and Khuram’s relationship was definitely the distance. However, Khuram moved to Dallas, which really allowed their relationship to flourish as it deserved. The couple spends a lot of time going on different adventures together. For Alina, her favourite aspect of the relationship is that she can have fun with Khuram no matter what they are doing! One of those adventures included going on a dating anniversary trip together to visit a number of stunning waterfalls in Portland, Oregon. During this trip, and in front of a magnificent waterfall, Khuram and Alina were greeted by a live singer, floral arch, and photographer. The live singer sang Khuram and Alina’s favourite song, and that’s when he proposed!
The couple tied the knot in August 2022 in Houston, Texas after two years of dating. Their wedding was huge, and the couple were blessed by family and friends attending from all over the world. Alina and Khuram are now living happily together in Dallas. For Alina and Khuram, it was definitely true that their perfect relationship and perfect match was out there – even if there was physical distance between the two of them initially, they worked it out and are now living their happily ever after!
